Why we charge a flat 10% markup on WhatsApp

When you send billable messages through the official WhatsApp Business Platform, Meta sets the underlying message price by country and category. dialogplus.ai adds a flat 10% platform fee to that Meta charge.

That platform fee helps fund the wallet, delivery pipeline, automation, reporting, security controls, and support required to run the service sustainably.

How the calculation works

The formula is the same on every plan:

Platform fee = Meta message charge × 10%

Total wallet debit = Meta message charge + platform fee

Calculations retain Meta's exact rate, calculate the 10% fee from that exact amount, then independently round the Meta and platform components to the wallet currency's supported precision for each delivered message.

Visible, not blended

The wallet preview, transaction ledger, and invoice show the Meta charge and platform fee as separate line items. You can see what Meta charged, what dialogplus.ai earned, and the resulting total before reconciling spend.

Subscription prices remain separate. Paid plans unlock higher usage limits, more users and numbers, longer retention, platform AI on Growth and above, and business support features. The 10% message fee applies consistently across plans.

Why a flat rate

A single flat rate is easier to forecast than a plan-dependent matrix. It also gives the platform usage-linked revenue to operate and improve the product as message volume grows.
